La Luna nel Pozzo is a theater housed in a traditional stone “masseria,” or farm house, from the mid-nineteenth century; a cultural center nestled among the majestic olive trees in the Puglian countryside near Ostuni. The name expresses a hope for an oasis which can nourish new art forms, creating opportunities for fruitful creative encounters, where one can find the environment, and the time, to realize one’s desires.
This center was born in 1999, of the meeting between two actors and an enchanted place. Robert McNeer and Pia Wachter, after 15 years of touring Europe with “Kismet” theater of Bari, recognized, in this corner of the mythical Itrian Valley, a place in which to realize their dream of cultivating theater and the performing arts in a natural environment.
* Indoor rehearsal studio: 100 square m, heated, with parquet flooring
* Outdoor stage: shaded wooden dance stage, 150 square m
* Stone amphitheater: antique Greek design, with a 12 m diameter stage, excellent acoustics and seating
* Cretan labyrinth: traditional stonework (20 m diameter), for meditation, discussion, writing, inspiration…
* Land includes: 6 hectares of olive groves, forest, lilly pond, trulli and sculptures
Body Soul Movement is flowing, spontaneous and fun - while offering the potential for deep transformation, and emotional-mental-physical balancing. It is a Journey of Healing, Experience, Joy and Creativity.
The Body and Soul are full of natural, spontaneous energy, vibration, intuition, and aliveness. In a state of happiness, there are no judgements or reactions, no expectations or guilt, and no past or future.
These natural states of the body and soul are continuous and clear, yet often clouded over by alternating elements of suffering (expectations, judgements, etc.). Given space, we become aware of the nature of body and soul. In Body Soul Movement Therapy we will attempt to open that space. We will allow our mind to be silent and our body to let go. Through dancing, singing, playing, breathing and touching we will feed the parts of our body and soul that we have buried, forgot and ignored. In short, we will work to reveal and awaken our natural states of being.
Through authentic, free movement we will release the deep tension and limitation that blocks our freedom and vitality. We will shake off the mind’s heavy burden of past experiences and their associated judgments.
We will follow the faith and wisdom of the heart, and accept ourselves without fear – especially the aspects we dislike, don’t accept, or often neglect.
Through self expression, we will reach a new form of dialogue and union with ourselves. We will play with ourselves. We will challenge our ego and light up our “story”. We will challenge our comfort zone and feel lighter. We are here to believe in our true self. We are here to shed unnecessary weight. We are here to fully embrace who we are (embody deeply who we are) and feel free.
Body Soul Movement Therapy includes:
1. Short bursts of intense physical exercise to liberate body and mind from pain, past and reaction
2. An intensive mind-body work to reach a state of balance
3. Experiencing the sensations of life through movement
4. Dance and improvisation
5. Physical theater and voice work
6. Self-expression - overcome the fear of going out of your comfort zone
We work hard for your physical improvement, but, more importantly, we invite your yoga journey to become a spiritual path that will nourish your life with Clarity, Bliss and Infinite Love.
Dynamic sequence of hatha vinyasa flow focused on:
1. Alignment, movement and synchronized breathing
2. Strength and Grace
3. Opening and flexibility
4. Steadiness and effortlessness
Pranayama - The science of breathing will be our fundamental tool to calm the mind and to awaken our energy force, or Prana.
Chanting and Meditation Devotion and Stillness will be our friends to discover our inner source of faith, compassion and gratitude.

The weather is wonderful, with abundant sunshine -it is hot in the summer and cool in the winter, but there is rarely a week without lots of sunshine - and the beautiful light that is created when the sky is overcast but the horizon is sunny.
Ostuni is one of the most beautiful and famous towns in Apulia. Its unique historic town, called "Città Bianca" (the Italian for "white town"), its monuments, its baroque-style churches, are examples of great architecture and culture
The so-called "Old Town" is Ostuni's citadel built on top of a hill and still fortified by the ancient walls. Ostuni is regarded as an architectural jewel, and is commonly referred to as "the White Town" ("La Città Bianca", in Italian) for its white walls and its typically white-painted architecture.

I have probably been on fifteen yoga retreats, something like that, but I feel really blessed to have been on this retreat as she is more than a yoga teacher, she's also an inspiration, a life coach and an incredibly sensitive soul who managed to deliver the most extraordinary yoga classes- not only physically but in terms of our wider practice too- spiritually, holistically. She is an exceptional teacher- but perhaps even more importantly an exceptional life guide and human being. Her energy and compassion for us, her ability to lead us all together when we were all at such different levels, and perhaps more than anything, her capacity to deal with all the emotions which swell up when we’re doing this sort of work are quite extraordinary. There were several people in the group who were going through difficult moments in their lives and I've rarely seen a teacher handle such tricky things so carefully and supportively.
